About Synthesoft

Synthesoft develops and publishes audio-visual software for Windows, including: The Psychedelic Screen Saver, The Hypnogenic Screen Saver, The Kinemorphic 3D Screen Saver, CD/Spectrum Pro, and Synthesoft Flashback.

We’ve been creating audio-visual software since 1994. Our first releases, The Psychedelic Screen Saver and CD/Spectrum Pro, combined media playback with real-time audio visualization for Windows 95. In 1997, we introduced The Kinemorphic 3D Screen Saver, which featured sound-responsive 3D animations. Two years later, we expanded our lineup with The Hypnogenic Screen Saver, offering a new visual aesthetic and set of effects.

Over time, our software has grown significantly in both scope and performance. We have added new image-generation modules to take advantage of modern CPUs and GPUs. Hundreds of additional presets have been included to highlight the evolving visual techniques.

In 2021, we released Synthesoft Flashback, a new program that brings together many features from Hypnogenic, Psychedelic, and Kinemorphic within a single, streamlined interface. Flashback introduces an interactive preset editor that allows real-time editing as animations play. It supports most of the pattern types from earlier programs, includes several new ones, and is designed to make better use of modern hardware for smoother performance.

Although our software continues to evolve, our mission remains the same:
To create quality software that fuses color and sound into an engaging audio-visual experience.
