Updates to Kinemorphics... 5/26/01 - Released version 2001.0526 -- Added many more palettes. 2/4/01 - Released version 2001.0204 -- Added plugin for Microsoft's Windows Media Player. Changed a bunch of minor stuff in the UI. Rewrote large parts of the Modeler and fixed a bug that caused it to crash on some systems. Updated settings. -- core changed. 8/16/00 - Released version 2000.0816 -- Added an interactive preview window so that you can see the effects of your settings changes as you make them. -- core changed. 7/25/00 - Released version 2000.0723 -- Updated settings. Added support for WinAMP. -- core changed. 1/23/00 - Released version 2000.0123 -- Completely redesigned the UI. You can now add multiple versions of the same module for some modules. Added an interactive preview window. It's in beta at the moment so the feature is hidden by default but pressing F10 on the "Edit Displays" page will display a "Preview" button that you can use to bring up an interactive preview window. This can be very helpful when exploring the effects of the various controls. We've also changed our version formatting. It's now in the format of yyyy.mmdd so 2000.0123 would be January 23rd, 2000. -- core changed, UI changed. 11/4/99 - Released version 4.0.1010 - New "Fur" object capability allows you to place an object at every vertex (or every N vertices) of the main object(s). New Walls module allows you to create n-sided textured walls behind your animations. Random per-face coloring capability allows for even more colorful objects. New install code won't ask for OpenGL if it is already on your system. Many performance upgrades. Many new displays added. 7/31/99 - Version 3.1.910 released - Upgrades to performance and storage efficiency. Prepared code base for upcoming upgrade to version 4.0. 11/6/98 - Version 3.1.800 released - Two new modules added, Matrix and Tunnel (and Matrix II and Tunnel II). New displays added that take advantage of Matrix and Tunnel. Performance enhancements added. Screen capture capability added. New install code. 9/30/98 - Version 3.0.730 released - Minor bug fixes. 9/5/98 - Version 3.0.720 released - Minor bug fixes. 8/23/98 - Version 3.0.705 released - Massively reduced the disk space requirements (Kine now uses less than 1/4 what it previously used). Added controls for resetting the palette after a specified time-out period.. New displays added. 7/14/98 - Version 2.1.641 released - Fixed a compatibility problem with v3.4 of CD Spectrum Pro. 5/11/98 - Version 2.1.640 released - Rewrote the install code. 5/8/98 - Version 2.1.635 released - Minor performance enhancements and bug fixes. Fixed password grace period delay and fixed a bug that killed the animation when the password dialog was brought up on Win9x systems. 4/2/98 - Version 2.1.632 released - Minor enhancements and online help updates. 3/23/98 - Version 2.1.630 released - Fixed interaction problems that existed with some energy-saving monitors and laptop computers. Minor documentation fixes. 3/18/98 - Version 2.1.627 released - Specular lighting color control added to 3D Settings (works in conjunction with Shininess). You can now have your random or sequencer settings *not* clear between each setting...this can make for some cool effects as demonstrated by the new setting, "[SEQ] Continuum". New setting "Intustrial Revolution" and a couple of others added as well. 3/13/98 - Version 2.1.626 released - New Sequencer added (due to popular demand). Allows you to play *any* selection of settings either randomly or in order. Also allows you to specify how long each setting plays. For examples of how the Sequencer can be used, check out the new sample settings "[SEQ] Dave's Favorites" and "[SEQ] Mike's Favorites". Also, there is now a single random setting "[R] Saved Settings" and a single random sound setting "[R] Saved Sound Settings". Lots of other new settings added (as usual). Bug fixes and performance enhancements added as well. 2/12/98 - Version 2.1.605 released - Fixed palette directory handling. 2/10/98 - Version 2.1.601 released - Minor performance enhancements and bug fixes. 2/5/98 - Version 2.1.600 released - We now have Palettes. This major enhancement allows the ultimate in color control. Many new settings added as well. 1/23/98 - Version 2.1.571 released - Fixed a couple of minor UI problems. 1/22/98 - Version 2.1.570 released - New Orientation settings allow you to rotate the universal coordinate space "on the fly" (check out these settings to see the effects of this new capability..."Cobra", "Rainmaker", "We Have Liftoff", and "[S] Mother Ship"). New Amplitude Homing gives much better control over sound synchronization. Various performance enhancements and bug fixes. As usual, LOTS of new settings added. 12/19/97 - Version 2.0.501 released - New setting "Morph" added along with new objects "Morph1" -" Morph6". Also modified some of the documentation and fixed a few minor bugs. 12/18/97 - Version 2.0.500 released - New modules Branch and Branch II added. New settings added that demonstrate the Branch modules are "Borg", "Carnival Ride", "Garden of Urthly Delights", "Three Tree Salad", "Tree D", and "Windmill". Various performance enhancements and bug fixes have also been made to this version. New sound settings added - "[S] Heat" and "[S] Red". New object "Pipe" added for use with Branch modules. 11/26/97 - Version 1.5.400 released - Greatly reduced the amount of memory used for the saved settings. 11/24/97 - Version 1.5.390 released - Added much finer level of randomization. Much more variety in all modules that use randomization. 11/14/97 - Version 1.5.380 released- Major changes to UI including a preview window. Updated the sound setting, "[S] The Gravy Train". For those of you running with CD/Spectrum Pro, check it out! Tweaked most other saved settings as well. Performance enhancements and minor bug fixes.
